Space

This book was a cool beginning chapter book about a mouse who is captain of a spaceship. All this little mouse wants is a day off, but there is all types of things that get in his way. One of those things is puff balls, they look so fluffy and cute. They are the protagonists in this story, they want to take all the energy from the space ship. One way I would teach this book is using its text features, the text itself looks different then most chapter books. The words itself have movement to them. Another way I would teach this is introducing chapter books and how to us them. I would read this book out loud and do think alouds on how chapter books are different then picture books. ( )
