I enjoyed this British story, it was a fun silly ride. (

That ending ohmygosh I'm laughing out loud. This was more HOLE WE'RE INish than I expected and far less Kinsella-ey. Enjoyable if a bit cringey in places. (

I have enjoyed the other Madeleine Wickham books I've read, although I disliked Shopaholic. But this one was awful; a story that seemed boring and pointless and a bunch of unlikable characters. I didn't care about a single person in the book, and there were a lot of them! I had to quit after about a third of the book. (

There were literally no likeable characters. I much prefer Sophie Kinsella writing as Sophie Kinsella and not her pen name. (
