When Maisey Bright walks into the PI office above the bar, Armageddon, Odin Shaw thinks she's not only crazy but also the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, so he tries to understand what she is telling him. Maisey's friend, Whitney has been missing for a couple of months and she suspects her neighbor because of his connection to two other women who have also gone missing after his involvement with him. Odin doesn't know what to believe until they arrive at Maisey's house where she has been keeping all of the evidence she's collected to find that it's all been stolen. Odin decides to take on the case even though he worries about keeping his hands to himself.

Don't Play With Odin is the second book in The Trouble for Hire series and is a much stronger addition than the first. Some of the events in this book are a little over the top and the relationship between the characters develops too quickly, but the characters are extremely fun - Maisey's quirky nature and alpha Odin's tender feelings for her - saving the story from becoming overly dramatic. The mystery does not contain lots of depth, but the conclusion is satisfying and there is a nice twist at the end. Overall, Don't Play With Oden is a fun story that is well worth the read. ( )
