The aphorism is an ancient, serious and meditated response to the talkative media babel in which modern technology is slowly and fatally pushing us to live. If the destiny of writing and reading consists in the search for the meaning and meaning of human communication, the aphorism can help us clean up all those dross and trivia that the minds of men are capable of creating. We can very well conclude by paraphrasing Nietzsche's thought by saying: "What is the use of a word if it does not lead us beyond all other words?".
