Devoted gardener Derwood, a rather crabby-looking goat, plants his garden on a warm spring day. Derwood is wary of all garden pests - including cute little Tabitha the bunny, who at first he mistakes for a dandelion puff. Their humorously adversarial relationship continues throughout the summer, with plenty of vegetable puns ("Romaine calm"), but when harvest time comes, Derwood fulfills Tabitha's wish(es) - for fresh veggies, and for a friend.
