I liked this book for many reasons. First, I liked this book because the characters were well-developed especially the main character. For example, I could visualize what the child was doing, which was the main character. One part, he was at dinner and he wasn't hungry, so he went under the table and someone stepped on him. I could picture this in my head with expressions the child could have made. I could see how the child was laying under the table. Second, I liked this book because the point of view was in first person. For example, the book said ""Anyway I like eating at home best," I said", which shows the main character talking about himself. The last reason I liked this book is because the illustrations fits the written text. For example, as I read the words on each page there is a picture that goes along with what is happening. This allows me to see a visual of what goes on in the book. The big message of this book is to show children family time is important especially when it is time for dinner. ( )
