3rd book in the Moonstone Cove series. Spinoff of the Glimmer Lake series. Paranormal women’s fiction. Best read as part of the series as the three women are support in each book.
Megan Carpenter is a Southern businesswoman working at a winery in California. Megan also has telekinetic powers that sometimes disrupts her daily life. A theft at the winery has Megan, Toni and Robin teaming up to play amateur detectives. They get help from one of the women from Glimmer Lake as well as family and friends.

Amusing story as they play detectives and use their psychic powers. It’s the details of their lives that make this so rich. From Toni’s pregnancy issue of no longer being able to drive, and Megan’s tripping her ex-husbands car alarm, we get well developed characters as their psychic powers are woven into their habits. The friendship are strong and supportive.
Both these series are wonderful and I’ll remember their strength and faith in each other. ( )

Story (4/5): This book features the third of the psychic Moonstone Cove trio, Megan Carpenter. Megan has just gone through a messy divorce and is trying to rebuild her business after selling her original business to support her now-ex-husband’s move to the area for his career...To make things worse Megan is having trouble controlling her newly obtained telekinetic powers. When some precious vines go missing from Nico’s winery, he asks Megan, Toni, and Katherine to help solve the crime. Then when the escape vehicle shows up covered in blood, they worry that now a murder is involved.

This was a well done mystery and I continue to enjoy glimpsing into these women’s lives. It’s a story that’s engaging, easy to read, has some fun psychic elements to it and some very well done day-to-day life elements as well (like dealing with teenagers, juggling work and personal, starting and growing a new business). I loved how a lot of elements from this book wrap into events that happened in the first two books.

Characters (4/5): I really enjoy the characters in this story and loved that we got to meet Megan’s kids in this book and see more of Nico and his family. Megan and Nico are hilarious together and I enjoyed them a lot. I always love how the characters support each other so well in this book. A bonus in this story is that some of the characters from the Glimmer Lake trilogy join in on the action again.

Setting (4/5): I love the town of Moonstone Cove. It is a small college town that thrives on wineries and kind of off the grid tourism for support. Most of this story took place in Nico’s winery again. I enjoyed learning about the winemaking process and love the small town rural vibe to the whole series.

Writing Style (4/5): Hunter’s books are entertaining and easy to read. I enjoyed the first book in this series the most, but all of them were very well done. Hunter does a great job balancing characterization, romance, mystery, psychic elements and a unique small town setting. The characters and setting is easy to love. I also enjoy the humor in here and the glimpse into how these lady’s balance their busy lives.

My Summary (4/5): Overall I really enjoyed this final book in the Moonstone Cover series. It does an excellent job wrapping up the overall mystery and leaves our characters in a great spot. The whole series is well written, engaging and easy to read. I definitely plan on checking out more of Hunter’s series in the future. ( )
