The errors are egregious: the allegiances are now an in-fandom joke, there are events entirely out of order, spelling and grammar mistakes galore, the infamous redtail/oakheart continuity error 2 full years after it was created; and Kate outright lied about enjoying writing a character "uneuncumbered by romance"* by doing exactly that in this book. Sometimes Warriors books are so bad they're funny to read. This is not one.

The graphic novels plainly hire continuity editors (and editors in general...), so purchase one of those instead.

It was such a pleasure to return to the old forest and with Leopardstar's point of view. I loved the pace of the novel and when reading my mind dwelled back to the begining.

You won't be able to read this super edition as a standalone, unfortunately, but it was still such a great read. And now, if you have read 'The prophecy begins', you come to umderstand what happened in Riverclan and learn, how and what had happened.

Poor Leopardstar, so many tragic things had befallen her, but she showed us there is still hope in the darkness.

5 stars, because it was such a joyable read. (
