The last book of Adrian and Lia’s story is full of twists, turns, deceit, and passion. I could not stop reading once I started because I needed to know how it was all planned out and how the author would shock us as usual. The more we learn of Adrian’s past the more we realize it has molded him into this ruthless man he is today. Lia’s past is complicated and is the cause for so much of the chaos that has happened. I loved how Lia finally stepped up and realized her love for Adrian meant more to her than she realized and how she gained a backbone to stand up for not only herself but those she loved. This series has been a lot of twists, turns, gasps, edge of your seat events that had me dying for more. I hope we get more from these guys of the Bratva because it has been a wild and fun ride. ( )

First Impressions
Consumed by Deception is the finale in the Deception Trilogy and this is by far my favorite book of the series. I absolutely had a blast with what Rina Kent delivered on this story. This is where we such much more issues finally being resolved, our couple fighting for each other, and finally actually communicating. In the previous books there was so much angst, misdirection in their relationship and just them both being too prideful to resolve the situation. But in this final installment, we actually get solid relationship building aspects and its books like this in why I love this author so much.

What I Loved
So what I loved most was our couple resolving their issues. Actually realizing that their mental illnesses is what is causing so much confusion, and seeing them both together work on rebuilding their relationship into what it needs to be. The actions with the mafia also escalated in this book so I really enjoyed the danger elements that were introduced into this one. I really fell hard for Lia and her strength and seeing her fight for the relationship was so attractive. Its not super common to have the heroine fight equally for the relationship and I found it refreshing to see her fight for the hero and knowing he is worth fighting for. We also see how well they do together when they are in sync in their relationship and how that reflects in them being parents. I just found it so sexy and attractive in so many ways. I wish this book was longer because this book just was everything I could have hoped for and more.

What I Struggled With
Nothing really, its not a 6 star read, but its definitely a five star read so definitely up there with top favorite of the year!

Consumed by Deception was a thrilling edgy mafia romance that melted my heart with poignant emotion, characters to cheer on and writing that keeps you up at night. A TREASURE OF A READ!

This author knows how to seriously play mind games. The first two books were an example of that. However, this book and how all the pieces fell into place really hit that home. The suspense, the twists, the push and pull, and the plethora of secrets made this a very enjoyable read.

It was nice to finally get the answers that I wanted to this intense mind screw that the author put me through. Some of the answers, I had guessed but the majority of them were a total surprise which is always an added bonus. It is one of the many things that I love about this author. She always manages to keep things fresh and titillating.

I loved watching these characters have to navigate back into having a healthy (for them) relationship. There were big hurdles to overcome. The steam was HOT, as per usual. I did have some issues that I wish had been fleshed out more, mainly what happens to a character that had played a major role in this. It seemed weird that they became family so to speak. I was wanting more from that. Other than that, this was a great conclusion to this trilogy. ( )

I cried and laughed and screamed so many times while reading this book it's not even funny. The way all those secrets and mysteries unfolded and revealed themselves in this book was just so mind-blowing, I was literally speechless!

My heart cracked when Adrian drove away in that car, and I don't think I've ever cried that hard for a book before. The Deception Trilogy is officially my new favorite! ( )
