A bit slower going with this second book, but if the author gets the same narrator for the audiobook, it should zip along quite well. The slow pokiness is my own issue I think. Great characters still and we get to meet Twig's mother!

While still fun, this one didn't have the same laugh out loud quality as the first. But here the boys have some serious issues to address. Mating. Topping. A case of dubious consent after being whammied at a sex club. Dragons. A demon with terrible taste in boyfriends. And High Councillor Starfig sticking his tiny oar in on every matter under the sun.
The investigation is well put together and adds a few more creatures to Twig's clan.
Cracking open book 3 right away. ( )

Be Fairy Game by Maghan Maslow

2nd in the Starfig Investigation series, M-M paranormal fantasy romance series.
The narrator, Greg Boudreaux makes this story fantastic. The comedy, that dry wit, the pacing and various voices that are unique and distinct. So much goodness.
Sure, the story is entertaining on its own, but this one I would recommend the audio over reading. It can be read as a stand-alone but better background on how these characters are together and “family” if you read the first one.
Explicit and hot sex included in the mostly male cast.

Poor Bill. A red fury demon fainting at the sight of garden nomes. Snicker. He will never live it down. ( )
