I really enjoyed this book, though I was confused for some of the book about Creel's age because on the front cover, she looks about 10 but then is noted to be around sixteen in the actual text, and I ended up with this weird dichotomous sense of her age.

There was a good blend of plot, world building, and character development, to keep me interested and intrigued. ( )

What a fun story! I loved Creel with her "can do" attitude. I loved the dragons each with a unique personality! I loved the dress shop with its uppity clientele and shop girls all in pink. This was a rousing adventure with surprises, twists, and turns. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. ( )

This was the first book I read by Jessica Day George and I really enjoyed it! This is the first book in the trilogy and I thought it was pretty slow until about 3/4 of the book. the rest of the series is very fun and I reccomend this book to all ages! ( )

Covers do not really tell it all. The first copy I picked up had a little girl on it with a huge dragon. I didn't even read the back of the book. I saw this picture on goodreads and thought it looked more like what I would read. It is the same book! ( )

"Dragon Slippers" was delightful and a complete joy to read.

I am surprised by my reading choices of mystery, murder, horror, dry humor, and then lovely preteen tails. The latter are pallet cleansers. The books in the humor category are when I need to heal because I'm sick. The books I picked kept my mind occupied. I started a few and dropped them, so you don't see what might have been 4-star rated books. I can't be bothered. I have read romances in the past but found them too formulaic to be engaging. Classic literature doesn't move fast enough. I will stick with my mystery, murder, horror, dry humor, and lovely preteen tails.
