As stated in the title, this is a teenaged version of Dr. Phil's Life Strategies book. The book is intended to be used as a workbook for the reader to get the most out of it. Mostly, it is just a process of clarifying what the reader wants, and how they can possibly achieve those goals. It's a fairly straightforward process, but ultimately I think the sort of orientation classes they offer in colleges would do much better work than this book. ( )

Jay McGraw tried to make the ten life laws concepts understandable and included useful stories to help clarify each concept. Most of the time I thought his approach of anecdotes and metaphors were good and at other times I thought certain sections were long winded with too much explanation. I think this book would be a good recommendation for students to follow a step by step plan to improve their life, which is written from a young adults point of view. ( )

This is one of the best books for teens that I have come across. My 15 yr. old is having a challenging time and I bought this for her. Jay gives wonderful, realistic advice for teens. ( )
