Way too slow burning for me. The strong chemistry between the main characters made me persevere through this. I would struggle to call this ‘dark’. Not a huge deal as I don’t crave darkness in my reading materials. Burnout needs hotter flames and a faster pace to earn a higher rating. 4.6 stars I'm not sure why this was called a dark romance because it was not dark at all. It was poignant, perfect, and endearing. Blakely had a troubled past and Decker had his own set of perfectly matched baggage but neither of those things made it dark. I loved the idea of telling truths. I loved that Lance loved souls not gender and was an amazing brother. I loved that Decker needed to be a hero and save people. And, I loved that Blakely learned to be free. One of, if not the most, favorite from this author. Different than her other books that I have read. I definitely recommend this author and book. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
