Into the Blue takes us back to Hawaii to spend time with Jules and Noah and their children Quinn, Lani, Jonah and Kira. Jules has dedicated her life to her husband and children and now grandchildren. She takes care of them and tends to ignore herself and her health. After having severe headaches, she has a stroke and no one is sure if she'll recover. On the same day, her youngest daughter Kira disappears at a walking trail in the jungle. The rest of the children are consumed with finding Kira and worried sick about their mother. The family has had enough tragedy in their past and have just gotten to the point that life is better for all of them when they are struck with this dual tragedy. Will ancient island superstitions rob the family yet again or will they be able to work together for happy life for their family? This is a beautifully written novel about a family who is facing two potential tragedies. I've loved the family since book one and was rooting for a safe and happy outcome for all of them. As always, this author has written believable characters in a beautiful setting in Hawaii. This is the third book in the trilogy but I sure would like to go back and visit this family again in the future with another book. Thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book to read and review. Jules Monroe is a woman whose hard work and dedication has built a rewarding life for herself and her family. Now in her late fifties, she gives selflessly to her husband, kids, community, and their charter business. But everything comes to an abrupt halt when her body says enough, and her mind yearns for respite and a place to hide from past hurts. Oldest son, Jonah Monroe, is a veteran haunted by a childhood tragedy. His past includes things he isn't proud of and can't quite shake. When his chance to be a hero finally arrives, it comes with strings attached. Will he accept the kindness of strangers to help bring his family back together, or will his demons continue to be his downfall? Maui isn't always the safe paradise it's made out to be and when ancient island superstitions threaten to rob the Monroe family yet again, they must all find a way to deter the impending disaster.
