Independent Reading Level: Grades K-2

"This is my Family" is an easy read for any age. It does a great job explaining the different dynamics of a family and how each member has a responsibility to each other. The gender roles are pretty stereotypical which may be okay for the younger children but I can see some students, who come from a single parent home, not be able to relate to the book as well. ( )

This story was about the little critter's family. The little critter tells you about each person in his family.

This book is about a liitle boy who tells us all about his family. he talks about all the things each family member does and how they get along and don't get along. But in the end, they all love each other because they are family.
