My least favorite of the series.
The pacing was off. Wanted more about Lydia faster than was given.
While I enjoyed it, I was disappointed.
It needed more in some places and less in others.

The steam was still there, but the connection between them didn't click for me till maybe around 50% or later in the story.

There were other things that didn't work for me either. But, still a great series and this was a decent ending. I just expected more. Because, you know, It Is Pam Godwin and she rocks! ( )

I had been waiting for Cole's story for what feels like eons. It went differently than I was expecting. I wasn't expecting the cat and mouse game for the second half of the book. That isn't a bad thing it's a good thing. I was expecting more of an expansion on how the book started. When things went in two different directions and there was a time-lapse, the story got a bit diluted to me. Especially, when the previous characters made an appearance. It just felt a little rushed and contrived.

Even though his story was different than I expected it still was a good ending to the series. It is a little bittersweet that this series is over. I'm looking forward to what this author does next. ( )
