This one started out pretty decent but it always comes down to who Stone will sleep with next. He doesn't leave one and he's already got one in his bed. Maybe the focus should be on a good hard to put down storyline and not about how many women Stone's going to sleep wth, ( ) One of the worst in a long time. Completely non-sensical plot. Someone inserts malware on Stone's computer and he refuses to pay the $1 million fee (in Bitcoin, just to be trendy), turning to his techie resources, resulting in a higher ask and eventually an attempt on Stone's life. Lance and Holly send in IT expert, Rocky Hardwick, who needless to say, is a gorgeous woman. Then we pop up to Maine, where further assassins are running amok, annoying Ed Rawls, who comes to NYC to chase down those responsible, eventually ridding himself of two Russian pests. The rest of the book is a complete and utter farce, with everyone on the run from their successors, who want revenge on Stone. It must be Stuart Wood's witty dialogue that keeps me reading more... Synopsis: 'Barrington is settling in for some downtime in NYC when an anonymous enemy makes himself known. This nameless foe's threats hit close to home, and before Stone can retaliate, the fearsome messages turn into very real consequences. With the help of old friends - and a lovely new tech-savvy acquaintance - Stone sets out to unravel the fatal agenda. But as the web of adversaries expands, Stone realizes that no place is safe, and he'll have to flush out the mastermind before he and those closest to him are silenced for good...' Review: Pfttt...lots of meaningless sex, followed by meaningless violence, with about 4 pages of plot in the entire book. At least it was fast to read. Book #56 in the Stone Barrington series. In third novel, Stone’s computers are locked by a cyber attack, demanding ransom of $1 million in Bitcoin. When Stone refuses, and the CIA’s computer expert is called in, Stone finds that the Russians still have an interest in him-from something that happened years ago. As usual, there are several trips to Europe, and several names from past books make an appearance in this novel. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
