"Betty Crocker Snacks: Easy Ways to Satisfy Your Cravings" offers 125 simple, speedy, and satisfying recipes with something to please every snacker on your list. The recipes are divided by prep time--10, 20, or 30 minutes, and are marked for special dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and high-fiber. Each recipe includes a nutritional breakdown, and the book includes many colorful food photos. You'll find plenty of traditional treats, but you'll also discover new and healthy ways to create sweet and savory dishes to please the palate and save time and money. As a bonus, each recipe includes at least one kitchen secret and tasty tip. The "Bacon Mac and Cheese Bowl", with rotini pasta, bacon, and two cheeses was an immediate "comfort food" hit. Carrots and green beans are two of my favorite vegetables, and "Spicy Green Bean Fries" and "Italian Carrot Fries" were both delicious. "Southwest Taco Dip", made with fat-free yogurt (I used Greek) and seasoned up with flavorful spices and chopped cilantro, onions, and tomatoes made a yummy and filling "small meal" when served with baked pita chips, baby carrots, broccoli and cauliflower bites, and red and yellow grape tomatoes. On the sweet and/or salty side side, we munched and crunched our way through "Ultimate Tailgate Party Mix", "Spicy Caramel Corn Snack Mix", and "White Chocolate-Drizzled Cereal Mix". There are over 120 more recipes to explore here, and many are very simple and "kids in the kitchen" friendly. The whole family will enjoy making and eating "Snacks" from Betty Crocker.
