An adorable book about a house that thinks it must be haunted since no one lives with her. She tries real hard to not let her steps squuuueak or her doors creeeeak, and yet, it can't be helped. But then, she realizes it's kinda fun being haunted and she just needs to find a family that appreciates her for who she is. When a ghost family moves in, it's the perfect match! ( )

A house has a big problem; it’s been empty for a really long time. The house worries about maybe being haunted because she does not want to be. However, there’s no mistaking that her doors were creaky, the stairs squeak, and the pipes rattle. The house thinks that if she could just keep quiet, someone might move in. And it works…sort of. Sometimes we do actually get what we wish for, but it’s just not always in the way we want.

The Bottom Line: This adorable haunted house tale is for anyone who ever wished they could change, but realized along the way that they are perfect just the way they are. Illustrated with just the right amount of spookiness, this picture book is sure to please kids in grades K - 2.

This book is about a house that does not feel haunted enough. This house does not want to be spooky but it sure does look spooky. The house just wanted people to move in and did not want to be spooky. Until finally the house was ok with being haunted, then a spooky family moved in. This book is great to show students they do not need to change to make anyone like them and we should just be ourselves. ( )

A lonely abandoned house sits high on a hill. Maybe it it sits quietly, people will not think it’s spooky and want to come live in her. But one night, a big storm comes in and House learns how much she loves to make noise and that it is okay to be spooky, she just has to find the right family. This book was really cute and would be fabulous read aloud for story time. It has so many should word that the kids will really get into. ( )
