Iscriviti per consentire a LibraryThing di scoprire se ti piacerà questo libro. Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. This second volume collects two story arcs. The first sees Jane teaming up with Doctor Strange and several other superheroes whose day jobs include medicine to go on a mission to save Death from... death. The second sees Jane's Valkyrie facing down Thor and Loki's eldest brother who has unleashed a power that will destroy all life everywhere. Not a bad set of story arcs but I didn't love it as much as the first volume. However, the hints that we'll see more Loki in the third volume has me ready to read more. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

"Valkyrie recently fought Bullseye and the Grim Reaper - both working on behalf of the Hell Lord Mephisto - and is still learning the true extent of her divine powers, including those of the all-weapon. But in the meantime, her mortal life is getting complicated. Due to her repeated unexplained absences from the hospital where she works, Jane has been demoted to work in the morgue with Dr. Rudy Gillespie. Still, there are worse places for a valkyrie to be than i the company of the dead."--Provided by publisher.

So, yeah, it's all mopey and gloomy and deathy -- little wonder it was canceled after ten issues -- but Jane Foster makes for a wonderful traveling companion on even the bleakest of roads. I hope to see her starring in her own title again in the future. ( )
