Now in paperback - beloved spiritual teacher Dr Wayne W. Dyer offers spiritual tools to transcend your current circumstances and old patterns in order to reach true fulfilment. Dr Wayne W. Dyer often shared his thoughts on the path and practice of enlightenment during his writings and presentations. He'd say, 'This is not about self-help. It's about self-realization, which is way beyond self-help.' In this book, which collects some of his timeless words of wisdom in a new format, the internationally renowned speaker and author offers spiritual tools to help you reach true fulfilment. He shows you how to become genuinely awake, aware of the power you have within to shift your thought processes, release attachments and tame your ego - to name just a few topics covered in these pages. Wayne will help you understand what an illusion much of life is, so you can see the big picture and spark deep transformation (that is, 'the ability to go beyond your form'), resulting in peace and harmony in all areas of your life. He will also take you through the stages of enlightenment and instruct you in mindfulness practices such as visualization and meditation, ultimately helping you reach a higher consciousness. You'll feel as if you are absolutely living in the light, in tune with the magnificence of the Universe and yourself. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

However, he didn’t actually write the present book; it was put together by Hay House from his speeches and presentations.
And I must admit I didn’t appreciate everything in the book.
Wayne suggests that we get into the habit of telling ourselves every morning “This is the last day of my life”.
Now, I’m getting on in age, and I don’t really want to shorten my life by repeating a negative affirmation such as this every day.
If Wayne said this every day, perhaps that was the reason he died unexpectedly, I would say before his time - though I’m sure he’s doing good work helping us all from the higher planes.
Otherwise it’s the usual good stuff.
He tells us that the first key to higher awareness is to “banish the doubt”, i.e. believe that what you want is possible.
The second key is to cultivate the witness.
For example instead of identifying with pain, we are instructed to become the witness to the pain. Notice everything about it, its colour, shape and size. One finds that one can manifest an absence of pain by becoming the witness.
Wayne helped a woman ease her depression by instructing her to use this method. “You learn that you are not this thing. You have been watching it.”
He tells us that he repeats the following affirmation every day:
“In my world, nothing ever goes wrong.”
When you find yourself troubled by anything, say out loud, “I am more than what bothers me. I am more than my troubles.”
You come to realize that you are not those troubles, you’re that which is aware of them.
When Wayne had a foot injury that bothered him when he played tennis, he used the witness technique, The next time he went to play tennis, the injury was gone.
“When you can witness and not identify with all aspects of your life, your higher awareness will allow things that once seemed very difficult to become almost meaningless to you.”
You can also use this technique if you’re burdened with deadlines and feel stressed about it.
I tried the witness technique with my pain but it didn’t seem any different from what I was previously doing. And witnessing the pain didn’t relieve the pain in any way. I would have needed to have been out of the body for this to happen.
The third key is Shut down the inner dialogue.
Again, you just observe the thoughts; you don’t judge them.
For shutting down your inner dialogue, he recommends the affirmation:
“The more I listen the more profound the silence becomes.”
There’s a chapter on the fourth key, Tame your ego, and chapters on Know that we’re all one, Surrender and go with the flow, and Harness the Power of Visualization.
So it turned out to be an okay book after all, and Wayne fans will want to read this one too. ( )
