The wealth of medical information available to breast cancer survivors is sometimes misleading, and often far too complex for the average patient. There has long been a need for an easy-to-read yet thorough "breast cancer primer" that could explain the disease in a way that the vast majority of breast cancer survivors could grasp. This was the objective behind "I Flunked My Mammogram!" "I Flunked My Mammogram!" was written by Dr. Ernie Bodai, a nationally renowned breast cancer surgeon who pioneered the U.S. Postal Service Breast Cancer Research Stamp Program. To date, more than $25 million has been raised from stamp sales for crucial breast cancer research. "I Flunked My Mammogram!" is the first installment in a two-part cancer education series published in conjunction with Dr. Bodai's nationwide "Screen Together ... Live Together" initiative to promote cancer screening among partners. The second book, "I Flunked My PSA!: covers prostate cancer. "Our objective is simple," says Dr. Bodai.
