Sicuramente tra i migliori romanzi di Connelly, dove debutta l'avvocato Mickey Haller, che poi diventerà anche protagonista accanto a Harry Bosch in molti successivi libri. La trama unisce il "legal thriller " alla più tradizionale azione, con molti colpi di scena e un bel finale. Direi che è anche più avvincente dell'omonimo film. Assolutamente da leggere. ( )
