This book capture how someone kindness can really have an impact on one person and the community. Star Keeper by Faith Pray. This is the story of a little girl who is living a a cold, dark world. She makes a wish and finds a fallen star. Over the course of the book, she discovers that the best way to care for a star is to share it with others. Even though the author's name first name is Faith and her last name is Pray, this is not a religious book. The overall message is that even in a world of difficult things, what you do matters and even tiny actions make a difference. The illustrations are beautiful, technically sound sketches with watercolor and digital enhancement. The characters in the book are diverse and authentic. Some background for the illustrations is that Faith built a mock village in her studio to inform the proportions and layout of her illustrations for this story. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

The watercolors in this book are lovely and evoke the sadness in the beginning of the story. This is thoughtful book to read with a child and discuss acts of kindness and their impact on others.
