Just a Week and Just a Year are both short reads, approx 1 hour each. Book 1, Just a Week, deals with the meeting of Seth, a man who always has a plan for everything, and Maddox, a free spirit, and the almost instant attraction that turns Seth's life upside down and threatens his life plan. This first book is a cute opposites attract story about finding that someone who makes you want to take chances and step outside your comfort zone. As the title suggests the main action take place over the space of a week, with a later epilogue. Just a Year picks up the story of Seth and Maddox some 18 months later. This story has more serious themes, including some selfish decisions by Seth and the strain this puts on their relationship. If I have a problem, it's with the covers. Maddox is a free spirit. The first time we meet him he has spiky orange hair, then black, then blue, then purple. At one point in the second book he has pink hair. His main dress code is skinny jeans and T-shirts. Neither of these cover models resemble Maddox to me. Both books are written in Seth's 1st person POV. A couple of good quick reads. You fall in love with the characters in book 1 and are invested in them for book 2. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
