I loved this was unique twist on the neverland myth and characters. I really enjoyed this one. I really loved both main characters and also the overal plot of this read. I think this book read as a older YA in some ways. I thought this book was super fast pace and had a shokcing ending that i need to read book 2 soon!! Def a strong start to a new series!! If you're like me, you spend what feels like hours searching on Google for retellings of some of your favorite stories. One of those books for me was Peter Pan. Imagine my joy when I found out that the author of one of my favorite novellas, The Girl Who Could See, was writing a retelling.
This book definitely lived up to my expectations. Dust brought the much-loved characters to life in a way that was totally unique but still relied upon the original.
It was really entertaining to read about Peter as he navigated growing up years worth in only a matter of a few weeks. He was awkward and sometimes rude, clumsy and fun.
I really liked how this Peter Pan retelling had a twist. I won't say too much about it due to spoilers but Swanson's left me hanging. I sure hope that book two comes out soon.
Now please excuse me, I have to go and find a finished copy of this novel.
