As with the last book, I read in the Uncommon Justice series there was more receptiveness and dragging along in some areas in this book for me. I did enjoy that there was more suspense in this book; it did keep me very intrigued, and eager to know what was going to happen next. I did not see faith being a strong message in this book as with the last book; there is some mention of God but that is about it. Again, I did not see the romance as much as I did the suspense, which was fine with me as I enjoy the suspense more anyway. I would like to thank Revell for the ARC of Don’t Keep Silent in exchange for my honest review. I've read this author before--and that's probably the only reason that I kept with the book after a confusing first chapter followed by a second chapter that seemed to have nothing to do with the first chapter. I did eventually grow to like the story, but not enough to rate it higher than average. When I first found this publisher, I was excited by the books but as I've read them more, I see the basic plot structure repeated time and again and it gets old after a time. 1. Once again, there is a story focused on human trafficking. (This seems to be the current "in" theme, just like vampires were during "Twilight" etc.) It's a worthy subject, but having so many fiction books focused around that theme means it is getting old. 2. Once again, we have the female main character who ends up being captured by the bad guys and needs to be rescued--as well as having this event be the main catalyst for the male and female main characters being willing to admit that they love each other. Elizabeth Goddard is one of my favorite authors so it doesn't come at a surprise when I say I loved her book, "Don't Keep Silent". She has a way with keeping the suspence alive throughout the book. The way it is written, keeping you involved with the characters in the moment, draws your attention to what is happening thus allowing the next step to take you by suprise. The main characters, Rae and Liam, are very strong independant people. Their fcus and dedication to their jobs keeps the feelings they have for each other locked away in their hearts until something happens where losing each other becomes a possibility. I truly look forward to reading more from Elizabeth Goddard.nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

With a cover like this one I expected this to be my favorite of the series. Sadly, I was wrong. Now, don't get me wrong! I enjoyed Don't Keep Silent, I just didn't find it to be my favorite in the Uncommon Justice series.
Liam's and Rae's relationship was one that I loved following. I just didn't love the way that the suspense was carried out, and it may be that this is just me at this time, I don't know.
While in all I loved Don't Keep SIlent, I was somewhat disappointed that Liam was the only McKade brother that was in more than a couple of scenes. I had hoped to see the brothers and their spouses together.
Still, I look forward to more of Goddard's books!
Due to the crimes dealt with this book is recommended for 16/18 up.
I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
