This is actually really cool, I love the dynamic. I just hope they can keep her safe. I hope she can keep them safe LOL. And I still want to know what galen's freaking problem is. ( )

Resurrection is the first in a trilogy of a dark, high school, bully romance. Not by usual genre but I loved Siobhan Davis's other series, Rydville Elite. The complexity of the characters and suspense in her stories made me so excited to listen to this series. As many of these stories do, this one started out with terrible behavior on the part of most of the characters. The cruelty they show each other was heartbreaking and had me feeling so much. As the story unfolded, you can start to see what motives some of the cruelty. I was immediately drawn to Harlow, she is so tough and so determined to survive. This is a reverse harem story and I cannot wait to listen to the next in the series to see how Harlow's relationship with each of the guys grows. Narration by Ramona Master was perfect for Harlow's character. ( )

At first, I wasn't sure about this book. I'm always leery about high school romance because I worry about the maturity level. This book though?! Yeah, age meant nothing other than a few times. I was so wrapped up in this story that I didn't think about anything other than trying to figure out what was going on. It was intense. Holy shell, was it intense. And the cliffhanger?. I'm so not happy right now. Hope the next book is out or will be out soon because holy titfire... ( )

Lo's entire world has just blown up in more ways than one. She's FAR from the typical high schooler. After being kidnapped and tortured as a thirteen year old, her dad secretly helped her train to know she'd NEVER be a victim again. Helping her to take her own power back, he's had people train her secretly in hand to hand, knife skills, first aid and oh soooooooo much more. What she didn't expect was for her dad to suddenly die and her entire world implode within mere months after the fact. Suddenly she's the sole focus of the leaders of a local gang, and they're determined to make her heel. Little do they know who they're dealing with. Sadly Lo herself is dealt some MASSIVE blows herself in her own home, by the last person expected. If she was in Hell before, then she's now in the lowest level of Dante's Inferno now. Determined to gain justice for the past, and for her father she's going to fight through it all. It's extremely graphic, but at the heart is a true warrior queen! If I learned anything from past books by this author (like Rydeville Elite), the reader has to suffer through the trials and pain of the female character until the MAJOR payoff in the end! I for one can't wait to see the avenging Angel Lo get the justice and answers she so great deserves. In the meantime we're in for one heckuva ride!!! ( )
