The first book in the Itty bitty princess kitty series. Itty Bitty Princess Kitty is the full name of the main character but fortunately she is called Itty most of the time. Magical elements in the fairy forest, a sparkling flower and a tiny fairy, announced that itty’s eighth shooting star will arrive. This means Itty will become a princess of Lollyland. The special arrangements that are made for the upcoming change were not all as welcoming as her favorite foods for dinner. Itty would get a new hairdo, a new room and she would be palace schooled. Itty is afraid that through all these changes she will not be herself anymore but her parents let her know that she can be the princess she wants to be.
An easy to read series for those getting ready to start on chapter books. Large fonts and black and gray tone illustrations on every page. Short chapters will make this appealing to beginning readers. The fans of owl diaries and Critter club will love this too.
Possible to go lower than 2nd grade. The reviewer had a hardback copy.
