Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. 907 This trade paperback collects X-Factor #8-9 and Cable & Deadpool #30-32, all issues that tie into the Civil War mega-event. I like Peter David's X-Factor for the most part, but I really hate how he portrays Quicksilver. In fact, I've pretty much hated how both Maximoff twins have been treated ever since the events that led to the House of M, by all writers involved. However, I think that Peter David is the worst offender here; the roots of his "rivalry" with Layla Miller, who is a young girl, start in these issues. Pietro eventually tries to murder her, which is just wrong. No matter the fact that he has been a "bad guy" more than once in his career, I just can't see him stooping to this low. Plus the art here is pretty bad. But oh, the Cable and Deadpool issues. I'd almost forgotten how well Fabian Nicieza writes Deadpool, and how Cable and Deadpool interact with one another. Fabian's work makes the current solos of Cable and Deadpool seem like very, very poor imitations. Deadpool has real depth here - none of the stupid hallucinations or idiocy that permeates the character nowadays - and he still manages to be funny! I found myself laughing aloud several times at Wade's antics and random observations. The three episodes of Cable & Deadpool that are contained in this volume are particularly well-written. The dialogue is funny, smart and engaging. The politics are informed and real. Deadpool's first person narrations consistently made me laugh out loud. These issues were written by Peter David and Fabian Nicieza and I will definitely be seeking out more by these guys. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Hot on the heels of both smash hits House of M and Son of M, Quicksilver returns! But is he friend or foe!? Complicating matters even more, the divisiveness of Civil War has spread to X-Factor: half of them want to cooperate with the government; the other half wants to take a stand against it. It's Jamie's choice that may well decide whether X-Factor stays together or cracks apart. Plus: in another corner of the X-Men universe, the Civil War really hits home! What happens when Cable and Deadpool find themselves on opposite sides of the fence, and both refuse to budge? What else: They fight! But it's not just your usual fun super-hero teeth-chipping spittle-snarling battle. It will change the lives of these two characters forever! Collects Cable & Deadpool #30-32, X-Factor #8-9.
