The Political-Electoral Reform approved in December 2013 and published in February 2014, is the most dense and robust of the structural reform's package that arise from the Pact for Mexico. It has five concretion plans: a constitutional one, a legal one of national character, one that resembles the replication of the reform at a federal level, one more in the regulatory scope of the new National Electoral Institute (INE), and the last one, corresponding to the judicial criteria established by the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation and the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation. This work describes the main contents of the Political-Electoral Reform and distinguishes each of the two main themes that constitute it. A thematic presentation of each theme is made and it includes information related to the different levels of the reform with the purpose of offering a comprehensive and updated understanding. Evaluative contents are avoided as far as possible, since the intention is not to judge the reform, but to describe it and explain its content, scope, achievements and its forward-looking approach.
