Note for Housekeeping Purposes: Since this books contains 3 complete novels, none of which I have read previously, I intend to post a review for each story, after I've completed reading it. So that means the stars may go up or down, until I have finished all three.

Lucky in Love
This was a delightful story! It started out smoothly, and stayed that way all the way through. The H/H were likeable, but flawed. The emotions, actions, and setting worked well. Very much looking forward to the next title: At Last. I rate this story 4-1/2 stars.

At Last
I remember being intrigued during Lucky in Love as to what the story between Amy and Matt was. It seemed they had some shared history. I was wrong. From the beginning of At Last it is apparent these two have been circling each other instinctively; no past and really no present. Matt just eats at the diner Amy waitstaffs at... every day.
Matt's looking for a 'sex-only' relationship and wishes Amy could be that partner. However, he hasn't acted upon it as one of his best friends has fallen hard for one of her friends. For her part, Amy prefers to stay away from all relationship possibilities with the opposite sex, temporary and otherwise. She misses the physicality, but not the problems inherent in such set-ups. These two are deeply hurting from their not-so-past pasts, but have clearly chosen different methods toward self-healing.
I won't share the details of the interactions between the H/H, but will say that this story has darker overtones to it. Ms. Shalvis does a nice job giving the H/H enough reason to believe they can have a future together by the end, but the story line just wasn't as compelling to me, as the first was. Maybe because I found it less humorous and the conflicts more concerning. I give this story 3-1/2 stars.

Forever and a Day
Another excellent story about some of the Lucky Harbor residents. This is a story about 2 persons whom seemingly are at sea without sails. He is a doctor who has lived a topsy-turvy life the past 5 years, and appears to be living each day one at a time, with no long term plans in sight. She is an unemployed CPA, trying to find a job worthy of her credentials; but more so, a job worthy of her adoptive parents' praise; without much luck. Previously aware of each other, their first one-to-one meeting is hilarious, yet foretelling of the journey they will travel, in sync, and out. This is the perfect story to end a most entertaining trilogy. Forever and a Day rates 4-1/2 stars. ( )

Before receiving this book, I had never heard of any of the Lucky Harbor series or Jill Shalvis. But I am so glad I did. I started the book and then absolutely couldn't put it down! The characters are funny, interesting, loveable. Every single one, front the main characters to the recurring side characters. It didn't matter that I started with the fourth book in the series. I did however, buy all the rest of the Lucky Harbor novels and am powering through all of them! After that I will most likely move on to other Jill Shalvis's other series. Her writing just overflows with heart and humor, wit and diseases-ery. I love it so much. A great new find for me, and a great summer read.

This collection has the 4th, 5th and 6th books in the Lucky Harbor series. Having not read a Jill Shalvis book before this one I was totally enthralled with the people of Lucky Harbor. Romance abounds in each story, each with it's own separate twist that keeps the reader turning pages. I am happy to have found another go to author, in fact after reading this collection I bought the rest. I don't think you could get a better recommendation than that. ( )

Fun! Good summer read, cute romances. This is an omnibus edition of books 4-6 in the Lucky Harbor series, but I don't think it matters if you've read the previous books, and I don't think it matters much if you read these out of order. I mean, they mention the previous relationships, but I think we know there's going to be a HEA, it's just a matter of how they get there. ( )

What's better than one Jill Shalvis book? Three! This is an omnibus edition of Shalvis's first three books set in "Lucky Harbor," and it's a great way to jump in if you haven't tried her work before. Fun and emotional contemporary romances. ( )
