Have now purchased at least three books recommended here and have a couple more I'd like to lay my hands on. Fantastic, and also, for contemporary works, a slice of time, which I also love. In 1951, Jacques Barzun, W. H. Auden, and Lionel Trilling joined together to form the editorial board of the Readers' Subscription Book Club.
