Love Michelle Campbell and was super excited to win this arc on a #goodreads giveaway!! Possibly the timing was off for me giving what the world was facing. So it seemed like a pretty cliche story of young lovers meeting up again. The guy is now rich and married. I was not able to finish it. I will however try again in a couple of months to see if my opinion changes. Give it a try despite my DNF! ( )

In return for an honest review, I received an advanced copy of this book. This is a nice, fast read. It’s not predictable. Tabitha and Connor were sweethearts in school. He leaves and she doesn’t see him for years. He shows up at the restaurant where she works, and old flames burn. His wife dies. A suicide, apparently. But was it? Who wants Tabby to go to jail? Could it have been a suicide? I think this book could be a movie too. There aren’t so many characters that you get lost. Read this. ( )

After hearing everyone rave about this book, I was beyond excited to read it, but I think I'm in the minority. It wasn't my favorite. It didn't particularly thrill me or anything.

Tabitha falls in love with Connor over one night and amazing sex. Years go by. They meet again, more amazing sex. Then, Tabitha discovers he's married... yadda yadda yadda. The back and forth with these two is dramatic.

But then Connor's wife is dead, and things take a big change... and now she's being accused of committing murder... Unsure who to believe or who to trust...

I have to admit - no part of me liked Connor in this book. I was sympathetic to Tabitha, but that was about it. Sure, I didn't see the way the end twist came, but I still wasn't shocked at the end.

However, I think it was just me. The book wasn't screwed up enough to whet my appetite for thrillers. I would definitely recommend it to others though! ( )
