It is April 1852. Crucial documents belonging to the eminent Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel have either been stolen or disturbed at Brunel's London home. Brunel engages the services of renown private detective Harry Brooke, a decorated veteran of the British Army Afghan campaign of 1842.
