In 1990, Julie Flaherty, gave birth to her eldest son who was born with bleeding to his brain, fluid in his lungs and seizures. Within the first two years of his life, she took him to see many different doctors. During that time she came into contact with Neurologists, Cognitive Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, General Practitioners, Psychologists, Otolaryngologist (ENT) and every other specialist that was recommended for her son. By the time her son was old enough for school he could read and write and spell. All of those things children should be able to do by the time they go to school. He was a great student; until third grade. By that time he was not doing his homework, having a hard time sitting still and testing him was a nightmare.Within the last 21+ years and out of desperation, Julie has studied, inquired into, questioned, trained, become an expert and National Master Trainer for Cognitive Skills. She has lectured across the country as an expert in Cognitive Skills Training and the importance of strengthening the deficit cognitive skills to create life-long learning. After all of the street education into the education industry, and spending a ton of her own money on every one of the educational, tutoring, cognitive skills building, professional education programs in the education realm, she has finally found something that can help!
