I have to be honest, this is not my typical book, but I enjoyed it. It was a little off I guess because they're talking about a secret society, and that intrigued me but there's nothing much about it in the book.

Also I was a little jaded because I'm being bullied on this website and it's driving me a little insane. And as you know, as any reader knows, stress will definitely alter your opinion when you're reading a book.

I found this book because I was looking up my favorite genre, reverse harem books. And the second book in this series joey, is an RH book. But I have OCD when it comes to a series, and I have to read from the very beginning so that way I don't lose my place or get confused on what's going on in the book.

So that's how I came about reading jesse. It was funny. I laughed. And I worried about the characters. Can't wait to read joey. ( )

Bossy meets the Boss

I loved this book. Jesse and Emma had a brief fling 13 years ago, but have never forgotten. Trouble is the memory isn't too good for her. Now she's as rich as he is, and she wants revenge. Until near the end, when a darker facet intrudes, this is great fun. Who wouldn't want to be the one that got away? But even with the weirdness, this is still a fun and enjoyable read. ( )

Sweet holy hell

This dang author... I should have known better than to think that this was going to be a lighter side to Huss. I figured it would have a little mystery(because let's be real there is always mystery) but didn't think it would leave me on the edge of my seat dying for answers. Shame on me. Not that I'm complaining since that is one of the reasons this author is a favorite.

I loved the bantering between the characters. I adored the Dumas family. I was sucked in by the mystery trying to figure out what was going on. By the halfway point I finally had that lightbulb moment and realized how silly I was expecting that because this is a series. This was reminiscent of The Mr sisters. She cannot give away the secrets yet. I know that by the end she will have put in so many ah-ha moments that I will feel foolish that I didn't figure it out sooner. I swear this author is a diabolical genius setting up all the dominoes so she can take over the world in one swoop.

I'm looking forward to the next book. Off topic, this EOBS was one of my favorites. I live for when this author goes on a rant. LIVE FOR IT. ( )

I was not that impressed with the romance of this book. I didn't really like the female. I liked the male more but I was not all caught up in him like with many romances I've read. I was going to give this book a two or maybe 2.5 but it was good enough that I want to read more of the series to figure out what's up with his family so it's probably somewhere between 2.5 to 3 stars. ( )

What on earth did I just read?! J.A. Huss does it again. She is a master at mixing suspense with romance. You never know what is going on until the very end and I just can’t stop reading! I need the next book now! I love Jesse and Emma! ( )
