It was an ensemble cast finale with Ronin and Connor and Margot in the mix. If it was the last in the series, the futures of Ronin and Connor are left up in the air - although we are left with the impression that it is the last time Abby and Ronin will see each other ... maybe. Another book is warranted for Ronin especially, but also Connor, and perhaps for Margot! And what about Jed?!
And of course, we the readers got the HEA (or was it a HFN??) - we'd waited a long time to feel at ease with the unlikely couple, Henry and Abby. Both of them had grown into characters we could like, even Henry! The rewarding thing was, considering the power imbalance, was that at the end you had to agree they were good for each other.
Thank goodness mama wasn't in this last book too much! or Henry's ghastly black and white brother.
Abby's business looks poised to succeed. And Henry has the mine, Wolf Resort is flourishing, a satisfactory denouement! (
