What a fantastic book!! This book deals with some heavy topics, and the author handles it beautifully. This is an enemies to lovers story that at times are funny, sometimes sad and angst ridden. These two characters are two that should stay from from each other, yet, they don't. They are drawn to each other instead
There are secrets abound, and for sure some major feels. The story is told in dual pov, more in Cleo's pov, but we do see things in Zach's POV as well. The story is well paced, and well put together and it makes it highly enjoyable to read. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

Cleopatra Paige hates Zachariah Prince almost as much as she loves the color blue. Thinking she'd never see him again she accepts a role in the housekeeping staff for his family, but it seems even three long years can't make her forget the burning hatred she has when he comes strolling back in. I haven't read a book this sexy since, well probably since my last Saffron A. Kent read. She makes forbidden romance taste oh so good. Bad Boy Blues pulls you in with the angst, warms you up with the smut, and has you falling head over heels in love with the bully. Cleo, also known as Blue, is a driven girl who cares little about what anyone else think. Her blue hair may scream for attention, but she'd do anything to stay out of sight, especially to young Master Zach Prince. To her he's the bully, the bad buy, his good looks are just reminders of a painful past. Except, the Zach we meet in Bad Boy Blues is not the same Zach Cleo remembers. Disenchanted with his family's wealth and desperate popularity, Zach has made his own way in the past three years. He's charming, he's humble, he's regretful. He's the man that walks the line and the line in this case is that between love and hate.

"Today she looked at me like I moved the stars. It hurt. It still does"

Cleo, though at time's immature, is a strong-willed heroine that believes in standing up for what's right. Her difficult past and recent loss has left a lasting mark on her, her heart, much like the Grinch's, has grown three sizes, even leaving room for the dastardly Zach Prince. As she interacts with him again, both as his employee and in her own bullying way, she finds that she doesn't hate him so much. I love the chemistry between these two, the hate and the lust mixing between them so much that they can't differentiate between the two. It forces them to face the past, to face their current feelings, to find a way to move forward. Saffron A. Kent writes in such a way that I felt like I was there, my feelings just as hurt as Cleo's, making me wonder if it was even possible for these two to work it out. Of course, there's those moments of redemption, the moments that make you fall for Zach, that make you see that all the hate has really done is made them orbit closer to one another, their star's paths finally colliding. It's a slow burn romance with more angst and passion that I knew what to do with.

"In love, you bleed forever.
I wonder if in hate, you bleed forever too."

Saffron A. Kent made me fall for the man who breaks hearts just by looking at you. If you love the enemies to love trope, if you like your men handsome and bullying, and if you like your heroines loyal and strong, Bad Boy Blues is the book for you.

C'est Magnifique.

This author is known to take me on a ride when I read her work. I know there will be angst just like I know there will be characters that are out of this world. The specific choices that she utilizes; like style, tone, and setting all culminate into a tale that surpasses my brain comprehension. Her words are poetry in motion. They submerge me into the lives of Zach and Chleo/Blue. I felt everything with them, their vulnerability, their loneliness, their aspirations, dreams, setbacks and their unwavering connection with each other.

The author touched upon a couple of pretty serious topics and one that needs to be addressed and often isn't given the attention that it deserves in today's crazy chaos filled world. It was beautifully handled and gave me a better understanding of why these two amazing characters had the baggage that they did. There were a few moments of humor. The steamy times was well balanced in the story. That is not to say however that they were calm or tame. OH No, this author just wrote some of the best steam ever by her. So hot. Fire hot.

This story is poignant and sublime joy. This author is and will always be an automatic click for me. No two stories are the same. She switches things up and that makes me very happy because every book feels like Christmas morning and I am getting the best present under the tree. ( )

From the first heartache until the last tear falls Paige and her Prince are a sight to behold. Bad Boy Blues is a tale of glass houses and shadowed hearts. Kent delves into a world where the good life hides ugly truths. Trapped in a world where almost is never good enough, less than becomes the saving grace for a couple of wounded souls searching for their chance to heal. Bad Boy Blues proves that there is no perfect life, only courageous survivors. What a magnificent read. ( )
