Scott was flying; he was as light as air and was moving with the speed of an eagle. He could look down and see the earth below with all its different colors and landscapes. He felt free, as if he had not a care in the world. There was the sound of rushing water and the smell of fresh pine in the air. Peace fell upon him like a rushing wind, and he was in a world of tranquility. Suddenly he started feeling pain in his stomach, as though something was pressing against it. The smell of pine was replaced with the smell of rotting flesh. The feeling of flight now felt as though he was not flying at all but was being carried. As he woke from his peaceful dream, he now realized he was living a real nightmare. Scott Boone grew up with the boogie woods at his back door, and as a child, he soon found this particular set of woods quite compelling, especially after meeting one of its most fascinating residents. Later, in Scott's adult life, this beast of legend would draw him back into the boogie woods and into the adventure of a lifetime.
