This book has awesome illustrations, more like a comic book, it also includes speech bubbles for the characters to speak. This book is an amazing story about Billie Jean King's life as a child, and growing up. She really wanted to be a baseball player, but only boys played, and she really didn't think that was fair. But then she discovered tennis. So she worked odd jobs for her neighbors to save up for a tennis racquet. Then followed around the free coach around Long Beach's public parks, and the rest was history. The book also talks about the former strong women tennis players who came before. Billie Jean worked hard for women's equal pay for tennis. We also learn about her fight for equal rights for women. She made changes in the sport of tennis with other women to make it better for all. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
