There's no doubt in corporate litigator Mia Shaw's mind about who killed her friend and colleague, Chase. But the man accused of the murder is a friend of security technician Noah Ramirez, and Noah is sure the real killer is someone else. When Mia takes over Chase's last case, she uncovers what looks like corporate espionage—and the stakes could prove deadly in Breach of Trust by author Rachel Dylan.

I'm quite a fan of this book's cover. It's so on point for legal suspense, and it is indeed the legal side of the stories that I've most enjoyed about the Atlanta Justice series. I appreciate how there are multiple sides to the case(s) in this story with a number of moving parts to it all.

Now, in light of those multiple sides, along with multiple characters' perspectives coming into play, I don't consider this book to be romantic suspense. The other characters' points of view and storylines that have nothing to do with the main couple's romance means, well, it's not exactly a romance. But since romance isn't what I read this author for anyway, I didn't mind the several POVs.

The redundancy in the novel got to me at times, with characters using the same expressions and doing the same little actions over and over, and the narrator sometimes rehashes the same information. And as much as I enjoyed most of the novel, it unraveled for me toward the end. It's like the story climaxed a bit early, and then there was too much left to tie up and too many twists thrown in after the momentum was gone. Also, it seems that some of the fairly long ending might be more for the benefit of setting up another novel or series.

Nevertheless, I think plenty of other ChristFic suspense fans will enjoy this one. ( )

Just three pages into this book I knew that Breach of Trust was going to be a book that would be hard to put down. Corporate lawyer Mia Shaw finds her colleague murdered in his apartment and she is determined to find who killed her friend. What follows is a story filled with twists and turns and a lot of deception. Mia herself becomes a target when she discovers the possibility of corporate espionage and realizes that her career may be at stake. As she searches for the truth she finds herself depending on security tech guru Noah Ramirez for both guidance and protection.

Author Rachel Dylan has practiced law for over a decade and she is a litigator at a top legal firm. It is this experience and expertise that help make this book and this series so believable. Breach of Trust is the third book in the Atlantic Justice series and it is a great legal suspense novel. It is also wonderful Christian fiction and Dylan's personal beliefs are very evident in this story that has hope, faith, and forgiveness. She knows how to express the conflicts that are often experienced by both new converts and seasoned Christians. I especially enjoyed one conversation about faith between Mia and Noah. Mia's faith is new but Noah grew up as a preacher's kid. Mia confides that she was raised with no sense of of religion, faith, or even morals and Noah admits that, even though faith has long been a part of him, he still had to find his own way as an adult. 'God has an interesting way of tugging at our hearts and opening up our minds. Using the dark and painful challenges of life to speak into our hearts.' (p. 168)

Dylan also uses this last book in the Atlanta Justice series to show how the characters from the previous books are doing. Sophie and Kate are now happy and content with Cooper and Landon and it becomes obvious that they are determined to help their friend Mia discover her own happiness and contentment. Watching Mia and Noah's personal relationship develop as they work to find the killer would be a perfect way to end this series and I found myself rooting for them.

Breach of Trust is filled with adventure and intrigue and there are many touching moments as we say goodbye to these characters. They will be missed!

I received a complimentary copy from Bethany House Publishers and a positive review was not required. These are my honest thoughts. ( )

The story took a while to get going and there's a lot of legal wrangling. I guessed early on who one of the "bad guys" was--though the conspiracy was a bit more complex than what I'd originally thought. I'm rarely able to guess "whodunit" correctly, so . . .

I know I've read at least one other book in this series, but I remember none of the characters from that book. ( )

Fantastic romantic suspense. I loved the suspense with a bit of romance. There were many twists and turns. I wasn’t sure who the bad guy was until close to the end of the book. I got to learn a little bit of law in this also. I loved Mia and Noah. These two worked so well together. This was a wonderful ending to a great series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will. ( )

The final book in Rachel Dylan’s Atlanta Justice series starts with a murder and proceeds full speed ahead from there.

Amid grieving the loss of her good friend, Mia Shaw is given the lead on a case that is shrouded in danger and secrets. She turns to Noah Ramirez for his help in finding answers to her questions even though the two of them stand on opposite sides of the man accused of the murder of Mia’s friend.

Dylan’s courtroom and lawyer/client situations are spot on, the action is vivid and intense, and the romance develops naturally all while Mia’s new faith is tested. The author handles each situation and answer with authenticity and grace.

Readers of the first two books will also enjoy cameos by Kate, Sophie, and their guys. If you’re looking for a legal suspense read that leans more toward the cases and will keep you guessing, you can’t go wrong with Breach of Trust.
