"A stunning debut novel from one of the most creative voices of our generation, Bobby Hall--a.k.a. Logic. Flynn is stuck--depressed, recently dumped, and living at his mom's house. The supermarket was supposed to change all that. An ordinary job, routine hours, a steady check. Work isn't work when it's saving you from yourself. But things aren't quite as they seem in these aisles. Arriving to work one day to a crime scene, Flynn's world begins to crumble as the secrets of his tortured mind are revealed. And Flynn doesn't want to go looking for answers at the supermarket, because something there seems to be looking for him. A darkly funny psychological thriller, Supermarket is a gripping exploration into madness and creativity. Who knew you could find sex, drugs, and murder all in aisle nine?"--… (altro)

So freaking good! A little slow to get into, but once you reach about a quarter of the way through, it gets so good, you can't put it down. It gives such an insight to living with mental illness, I loved it! Definitely a must read! ( )

0.5 stars. Holy predictability Batman! This sucked! I got lured in with a cool cover and promises of psychological horror and got absolute dog water writing and even worse plot. This was bad. The writing was juvenile, the logic was SO stretched. If you have a single brain cell you can see exactly how this book is going to turn out. I only finished it to see if MAYBE Hall was going to do something ACTUALLY surprising and he didn’t. This was just bad. Bad bad bad. ( )

Sara and Matt both recommended this to me. I'm not upset about it, it was actually better than I thought it was going to be. I did treat this as if it was an animated show to plow through this. But for a debut novel, Logic didn't do half bad. ( )

Ernest Cline meets Chuck Palahniuk trying to be Grady Hendrix.

Not a bad idea for a novel but the author seems obsessed with making offbeat pop culture references and pointing out that he included non-white characters. Bleh. ( )

This book is very eye opening and intriguing. This is my favorite book by far. I’m really interested in psychology and learning about mental health issues, so this book was truly interesting to me. ( )
