A little slow to get into, but once you reach about a quarter of the way through, it gets so good, you can't put it down. It gives such an insight to living with mental illness, I loved it! Definitely a must read! ( ) 0.5 stars. Holy predictability Batman! This sucked! I got lured in with a cool cover and promises of psychological horror and got absolute dog water writing and even worse plot. This was bad. The writing was juvenile, the logic was SO stretched. If you have a single brain cell you can see exactly how this book is going to turn out. I only finished it to see if MAYBE Hall was going to do something ACTUALLY surprising and he didn’t. This was just bad. Bad bad bad. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
"A stunning debut novel from one of the most creative voices of our generation, Bobby Hall--a.k.a. Logic. Flynn is stuck--depressed, recently dumped, and living at his mom's house. The supermarket was supposed to change all that. An ordinary job, routine hours, a steady check. Work isn't work when it's saving you from yourself. But things aren't quite as they seem in these aisles. Arriving to work one day to a crime scene, Flynn's world begins to crumble as the secrets of his tortured mind are revealed. And Flynn doesn't want to go looking for answers at the supermarket, because something there seems to be looking for him. A darkly funny psychological thriller, Supermarket is a gripping exploration into madness and creativity. Who knew you could find sex, drugs, and murder all in aisle nine?"-- Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
