It makes body systems and parts more accessible to kids, and supplies information in a fun, entertaining way. It is very visual, which will appeal to a younger reader. For example, it compares a bone in the ear to a grain of rice, and depicts the brain as a computer. The text is not over whelming. The only negative comment I have is that a parent may object to the drawing depicting the anus. The artist's rendering resembles a penis. Some parents are funny about those things. Also it has a child sitting on a toilet in one part of the book. Otherwise, I felt it was a unique and interesting way to introduce students to the parts of the body. I would use it in a science lesson. It would appeal to students in grades 3 -5. ( ) FUNNY BONES AND OTHER BODY PARTS is a well-written survey book for children learning about the human body. The author separates this book into two-page chapters that focus on specific parts of the body like hair and skin, skeletons, muscles, brain, and the senses. The book has a table of contents, an index, and many sidebar comments that give children more in-depth information about the different body parts. The interesting and colorful illustrations give children a fun way to learn about the human body. The information about the different body parts is limited and it is unknown if the author fact-checked the information. However, children will enjoy reading this book because of its funny illustrations and easy-to-comprehend style. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
