I love Helen Ellis! A fun read with laugh out loud moments but also tender and touching. A perfect way to spend the weekend. ( )

This was a trip down memory lane. Although, I enjoyed more success in resisting attempts to turn me into “a lady,” I grew up hearing most of the things she talks about or refers to.

The three hour audio book was perfect for doing chores. Her accent was like taking a trip home. Thank goodness my neighbors don’t live close — they would have thought I was crazy as I laughed my way through yard work. ( )

Honestly, I just want Helen Ellis to be my new best friend. So much of what she wrote was not only funny, but made me wish I was there when it happened. . I'm so glad to know there are more books by her that I haven't read yet. I can't wait to see what else she has to say. ( )

Stayed up late to finish because I couldn’t put this collection down. It is truly laugh-out-loud funny and just what I needed... I am however, going to leave the official review of this book for my friend Carla. ( )
