Sweet Holy Titfire. I thought I was prepared for this book. I. WASN'T. I devour anything this author writes and therefore know that she is going to push the envelope and have me squirming in my seat. Yet, This... Yeah, I was doing more than squirming. I needed a cold shower and it had nothing to do with the triple digit hot temperatures occurring where I live. Temperatures, mind you, that is so hot that I swear I am living in Satan's colon. I am not sure how she can make something so extreme seem so appealing but she does it time and time again.

I typically try and hold off on a series of books until the end. Unless it is an author where the suspense might kill me. This author is one of those. I need her words like I need air.

I won't get into the details of the book. I don't need to as enough other reviews do that already. Instead, I will just say that this is a storyline that in typical fashion is unique. It is extreme. There is suspense. There are questions that need to be answered. I am glad this author is back after a heartbreaking personal event pulled her away. I am even more glad that she found her words again. I hope they give her solace. If this is any indication of whether that is true, I can say she knocked it out of the park. Truly dark, and sublime. Just the way I like it! ( )
