Plan to spend the second half of the book reading and flipping pages and ignoring anything else. I wanted to read this slowly, but it was not possible. If you have not started reading about Jackson and Ellery, I envy you. Amy Lane has written many, many great characters, but IMHO Jackson might be the best of them. It was only a regular level of excruciating since Amy Lane writes the tension very well. I do wish that poor Jackson didn’t spend half the first two books in the hospital...it’s becoming his second home. Ellery isn’t going to escape unscathed this time either. Readers of this series will cherish the moments when Jackson feels at peace and trusts what he and Ellery share together. Things aren't necessarily any easier for Jackson and Ellery, so be prepared for a rough ride but also enjoy their developing relationship and wonderful friends including Billy Bob, Jackson's three-legged cat who is now also missing a few other essential parts:) You know what I like in the series? When next book is better than the previous one. That's the case right here. One thing though - ending was anticlimactic imo, I wanted a little bit more. But nevertheless great read! Also Lucy Satan/Taylor is now one of my favorite characters EVER even though she isn't main character. What a woman! A Few Good Fish by Amy Lane 3rd book in the Fish Out of Water series. M-M romantic suspense, legal thriller. Can be read as a standalone. I have not read the previous books and had no trouble following along. In this story, a lawyer and his partner defend an innocent against former military mercenaries at the baseline. Family, friends and even a touch of faith dynamics played a part in the story. Great action and quite a bit of dry humor. I listened to the audio version which was compelling and well acted. The sex scenes felt almost voyeuristic. Wow. The overlapping characters from previous books does make me want to go back and read the ones I missed. Bottom line, the relationships are tight and the characters grow making it a wonderful adventure. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

This episode really changes things up. Don't want to do the spoiler thing, but some relationships are really under severe stress and there's even a Rabbi. Still lots of blood and action. Fantastic addictive series!
And the narration by voice actor Greg Tremblay knocks it up more than a notch! ( )
