Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It's somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour. So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn't fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she's kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She's given up hope of seeing him ever again. Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she's built upside down. This time around, she won't make the same mistake. She's going to fight to keep him in her life-not for herself. But for their daughter.… (altro)

4.5....I really enjoyed this one. Everything flowed really well and wasn't too slow. I was so happy we got to skip over the pregnancy/baby years without Logan. It was a bit far fetched that they just happen to run into each other all those years later but, hey, it's fiction! The romance was very believable to me. Loved Logan, Thea, and Charlie along with Hazel and Jackson. ( )

Omg. That was just.....

AMAZING!

If you are looking at this book, and in edge of you want to read it or not....stop procrastinating!

Be like nike.. JUST DO IT.

That's their slogan...right?

It was a great story.

I hope the rest of the series is like this.

Less than 18 hrs to read the whole book. It was so great... I keep saying that, huh?

Then only thing I wish had happened was then finding out where she came.from but, who knows, maybe they will address that in a later book?

I am new to this author so... Let's see what happens... Time for book two...

God.. I am in so much love with this book.. Lol

My cell phone is charging, and I don't have voice dictation on my tAblet (Amazon bites)... So this review is short for me because touch screens and I don't get along.

Don't hesitate... Read the book. ( )

So this book is Logan and Thea.
We met Logan in The Clover Chapel (Jamison Valley #2)
by Devney Perry as the man in Emmy's life before she reconciled with her husband.
Logan was always a nice guy, came across as very work orientated. Thea has had a hard life and just doesn't think good things really happen for her.
It's well written. Good story.
Logan refers to his relationship with Emmy so I would say it's a good idea to read The Jamison series 1st.
Rich/poor divide.
Long separation after a ONS. Hero is not celibate in the time apart, though not a manwhore though the heroine is too busy raising a young child to date anyone.
Hints at other possible storylines from secondary characters on both Logan and Thea's side.

Timid

Jackson and Willa.

When I read this book I wasn't sure I would be able to read this book without my heart breaking.
The premise to me seemed a forlorn heroine watching the so called 'Hero' man-whore himself around town without being noticed herself.

But it wasn't about that, those events are in the past and we start the story with Jackson noticing Willa, well kind of. He notices her then doesn't remember noticing her then realizes there is something about her in the back of his memory.
To be fair to Jackson there is an age difference between them, not huge but enough that when you are younger you know people who are a bit older than you but the older person may not particularly noticed the younger generation, esp as she is educated and he struggled to finish High school and his focus is on surviving, different circles and she is really shy.

There was no ex drama, no cheating, no intimate scenes with another man/woman. There are only very miniscule references to his past, certainly no detail and no face to put to his past exploits.

I enjoyed the start but for me it lagged a bit in the middle.

I wasn't 100% sure why Willa had such a crush on Jackson other than him being handsome, she doesn't really know him, certainly not to have crushed on him for so long. She even says that at one point, though she does have dealings with him via, the pub and Thea from the previous book.
There are a lot of references to the previous book, they run concurrently so if you haven't read it then there may be spoilers in this book for that one.

There are excellent secondary characters, lots of humour with some very funny lines.
Willa had a close group of friends and she was closer to one in particular and there was one who was bitchy, it was realistic, typical group dynamic you sometimes see.
It is dual POV. HEA.

Lots of material there for more books to the series
