A prince was put under a spell that turned him into a frog. A princess came along and he asked her to break the spell by kissing him. At first she didn't believe him, but in the end she kisses the frog and turns back into a prince.

This is a traditional telling of the classic Frog Prince story and it sparks a number of good conversations regarding what is right and wrong. However, I was dismayed at the end to learn that the spoiled princess, who actually throws the frog at a wall, gets to marry the prince. Reward for a sullen, and ultimately mean, keeping of a promise should not be rewarded. I had never read the traditional story before, so it was a surprise when I learned that this book followed the original tale so closely.

Read A Frog Prince by Alix Berenzy instead. Good behavior is rewarded and the prince and the princess are perfectly matched. ( )

Tis is a story of a beautiful princess that makes a deal with a speel bpund frog to be his friend. After the princess did not believe the frog would be her friend he followed her to her castle where he transformes to a prince and they get merried and the spell is broken. This is a good judgement lession book.
