Not impressed by the sequel to the first book, Tormentor Mine. Will not be continuing the series. I prefer plot and character satisfaction in my fiction. ( )

OMG, what has Anna Zaires done to us? This book is seriously intense, gut-wrenching, and heart-stopping.

Obsession Mine picks up exactly where the last book left off. Peter is trying to get Sara to safety. They are being chased by the FBI so that they can arrest Peter. He isn't going to be arrested and he isn't going to let anyone take Sara away from him. He loves and needs her, and he will kill anyone who will try to take her.

Sara isn't sure what her feelings are when it comes to Peter. She hates him but she also loves him. She's attracted to him and feels safe with him, but he's also holding her prisoner and she wants to get away and get back to her own life. It's hard for her to sort all of that out, and even harder to sort that all out when she is with him constantly.

The characters pulled me in and kept me guessing. I wasn't always sure what was going to happen next and what Peter or Sara were going to do. I love the turmoil that Sara is going through and watching her trying to figure out how she feels about Peter and what she should do. I love seeing how Peter is changing because of Sara and what she's telling him and how she's acting.

Sometimes I think that Peter is a giant jerk, and sometimes he really, really is. I think that he needs to get it into his head that he can't force Sara to love him. I'm reasonably sure that he understands that part, but he doesn't really want to understand that.

Once again, we have a major cliffhanger that is leaving me panting for more. I can't wait to read the rest of their story. ( )

I love anything by Anna Zaires. She could rewrite the dictionary and I would read it. She writes the antihero better than anyone else. Every trilogy I find myself thinking it is the best and fall head over heals for the main character. Every. Time. And every time the main character gets replaced. This was true in this book. I really need to up my therapy sessions to see why this is that I fall for the obsessive borderline psychotic alphaholes.

I loved Peter. Like LOVED him. He s the perfect blend of arrogant self righteous bastage and redeemable villain. This man oozes sex and knows how to play a woman's body like an instrument.

Sara. It was nice to see her vacillating between love and hate. She yearned. For freedom. For her family. For her job. And via her body. It was a dichotomy of epic proportions.

Fantastic story and foundation to build on. Looking forward to the next part. Even though this book ended on a cliffhanger , I didn't mind because she is one of the few authors that can write one without me wanting to junk punch or throat punch random strangers.
